Tasting Notes: Chocolate (heavily roasted) malted barley is most often used in brewing dark beers, but this 5 year old whiskey from Heritage Distilling Co. was distilled from a mash bill of 10% chocolate malted barley and 90% unmalted barley. The result is a complex variety of chocolates, peach cobbler, and sandalwood. The intense childhood pleasure of eating brownie mix has been distilled!
